The Scuba Diving Experience at Punta Leona offers one of the most complete diving programs available near Jacó. The diving center operates under strict safety standards with certified instructors, full professional equipment and INS insurance coverage. The same stretch of Pacific is also home to world-class sportfishing charters.
TRY SCUBA ($195): Complete beginners. One ocean dive from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. No experience required. Minimum 2 participants. Not ready to dive? The Snorkeling Experience explores the same waters from the surface.
SCUBA DIVER COURSE ($440): 2 days. Day 1: 6-hour pool training. Day 2: 2 ocean dives from a boat. International certification upon completion.
ADVANCED CERTIFICATION ($475): For certified divers. 2 days, 2 ocean dives each day.
2-TANK FUN DIVE ($150): Two ocean dives from a boat for certified divers.
REFRESH COURSE ($165): For certified divers who haven’t dived recently. Traveling with non-divers? The Tortuga Island Experience gives the whole group a boat day with snorkeling included.
No experience required. The Try Scuba session is designed specifically for complete beginners.
An internationally recognized scuba diving certification valid worldwide. Depending on the option, this may include a digital certification valid for 6 months.
Not included. Costa Rica Experiences can coordinate pickup from Jacó, Herradura, Los Sueños and Playa Hermosa on request.

Access to Punta Leona facilities is for diving participants only. Non-diving companions may be subject to an additional access fee.

Yes. Certified divers must provide proof of certification when booking fun dives (2-Tank Fun Dive, Refresh Course) or the Advanced Certification.
Yes. The Scuba Diver Course requires an online medical questionnaire, and the Advanced Certification requires forms to be completed before the activity. The full name of each participant is required in advance to activate the access code before the activity.
